POTENT Magazine is looking for articles that are valuable and galvanizing to our readership. Selection criteria will be based on: originality, accuracy, quality of writing, tone and timeliness of information. The publication seeks articles that:
- Provide balanced, stimulating coverage of the Caribbean and Diaspora.
- Offer new approaches and insights on social issues of the Caribbean and Diaspora.
- Creatively communicate to readers the appeal of a vibrant, Caribbean culture.
- Highlight Caribbean achievements and interests.
- Connect and promote the Caribbean and diasporic community through a shared history and heritage.
Submission Guidelines (For Print & Digital Issues)
Submissions have a 3,000 word limit.
Submissions must be in Times New Roman, Arial or Georgia, 12 pt. font.
Submissions must be single-spaced. Pages do not have to be numbered.
We do not accept published work.
No simultaneous submissions. If it is being considered at another magazine, we are not interested.
We accept submissions on a rolling basis.
Along with your submission, please include a short paragraph about yourself and the inspiration behind your submission.
Terms of Publication
By accepting publication, the writer grants POTENT Magazine first-use electronic and first worldwide rights. The writer retains copyright and may publish the submission 120 days elsewhere after it appears in POTENT Magazine.
By accepting publication, the author gives POTENT Magazine the right to publish the work on potentmagazine.com and to archive it as part of the issue in which it appeared.
Writers whose work is selected for publication will receive a contract outlining these terms in more detail.
