Caribbean Entertainers Bounce Back from COVID Restrictions with Fall Concerts
The best season of the year is officially here – Fall – and we’re celebrating by sharing some upcoming concerts and entertainment events. The Caribbean entertainment sector took a hard hit from the effects of Covid-19 but they are allowed something of a break thanks to the reopening of many countries, communities and entertainment events. Some of these entertainers are travelling abroad so that their fans can enjoy just a taste of ‘outside’, so here is our short but sweet must support concerts for fall 2021.
Best of the Best Music Fest – Miami, Florida
This festival begins with a pre-party on October 8, followed by two other events. Culminating the Memorial weekend’s festivities on Sunday, October 10, 2021 with a large concert headlined by many well-known Caribbean acts. Dancehall and Reggae names such as Spice, Tanya Stephens, Koffee, Tarrus Riley, and Ding Dong are on the lineup. The performers also include Soca artists, Alison Hinds, Bunji Garlin, Skinny Fabulous, Farmer Nappy, and Patrice Roberts. Reggae Rise Up Music Festival – St. Petersburg, Florida
This music festival spans four days, October 21 – 24, 2021, with multiple stages, food stands, and large-scale art installations – selfie perfect. They will have some of the biggest names in the reggae industry including Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley, Tribal Seeds, Keznamdi, Tribe of I, Collie Budz, Soja, Jesse Royal, and Dirty Heads. Voltz of Holt – Lauderdale Lakes, Florida
Voltz of Holt will commemorate the life and works of reggae legend John Holt. This tribute concert will be hosted by Don Hines on October 23, 2021 at The Gardens in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. Maestro Marley Cup – Hollywood, Florida
This event is a music festival and a soccer competition combined for a good cause. The Maestro Marley Cup will host a 7 vs 7 Soccer Tournament along with a show. The day entails Caribbean food vendors, other cultural vendors and live performances by Ky-Mani Marley, Yelloman, Jesse Royal, Dubwise, Kreema, Kj Marley, and more. The event will be held on November 6, 2021 at the Hollywood Arts Park in Florida. Funds from the event will be donated to the Love Over All Foundation.
