Congratulations to famed reggae singer, Beres Hammond!  After five weeks on the Billboard Reggae charts, Hammond’s latest album, One Love, One Life (VP/Harmony House Records) has soared to number one.

Released in mid-November, One Love, One Life has been gaining traction with reggae fans. Hammond has been making the touring rounds this month, performing at Brooklyn’s Barclays Arena and the Hard Rock Cafe in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

VP Records President Chris Chin spoke on the success of Beres’ new album. “We hope to continue the momentum through Christmas and into 2013. We are happy and proud to see Beres at the top of the chart.”

Hammond also debuted on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (Dec. 11th), his first ever US talk show appearance. With the Roots crew in tow, he performed the title track “One Love, One Life” and known classics “What One Dance Can Do” and “Double Trouble.”

Thanks to LargeUp, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at Beres Hammond on Jimmy Fallon, and interaction with some of the Roots members (3 are Jamaican) showing their respect for the “King of Jamaican Lover’s Rock.”
